it is anything but bold.
It embraces the notion that only football and basketball matter.
It's like he's either angling for his next job with this posturing on basketball by diving in on the current status quo, which is madness in terms of funding.
What does the Big West do best?
Volleyball and Baseball, and maybe softball
do what you do best and don't lose that, trying to buy in.
so I guess is suggesting to go along (not bold) and atrophy everything while jamming wasted money after wasted money that won't keep players getting agents and leaving.
just say it Butterly, Big West Basketball, "come for a year, and move on, the degree is not our problem anymore"
who is this message to? to UCR and the Cal States to increase funding, ...or else? lol you'll kick them out and no conference.
he talks about innovation in this release. WITHOUT ONE SINGLE THOUGH ABOUT WHAT INNOVATION has to be. so that means there is no plan. In other words it was just Butterly blathering. Like he needs a public message, when if basketball funding is a problem (it is), going with a statement represents what all the schools want to do, and they have no plan?
