the coveted #2 seed is wide open between SB, Beach, and IRvine. the proverbial Beach controls their destiny
so this week is the week with 4 games left vs. SB & Irvine,
basically go 3-1 and Beach is the #2 seed. go 2-2 and then maybe lol. but do need to beat SB at least once and Irvine at least once.
go 3-1 and a lock for the NCAAs, go 2-2 and probable with a first round BWCT win. otherwise.......
forget the NCAA stuff, the last 3 weeks and winning the BWCT are the goal with this team. really would like to see the team get another shot at Hawaii
big match Friday night to set the tone vs UCSD really a huge match. home match UCSB is tested has a solid team stud pin, good setter and they dig balls. have to grind to beat them.
hopefully rested and ready for the stretch run

losing leads late 3rd and 4th set.
they are getting timely plays to win points, just frustrating some things keep croppoing up
4 SEs to start set 4.
Varga's serve is definitely not as effective as in January, fortunately Kandev and Cryst and Herschy are putting pressure on
turned the tide on a great recovery down 13-10 and an attack that sent Varga to the edge of the student section to save and then Kandev popped over a super high free ball for SD, that Ewart hit the antenna with. huge swinger Beach went on a run then to take the lead, and finally surviving that 4th set.
nothing is easy, they grind, just gonna need to find more consistancy somewhere. like Peluso's play as a serving sub and Marquart(sic) seems to bring a lift when he subs in seems like Braun can tire out a tad late in a match.
Hawaii pretty much has the #1 seed, so next to weeks will see if we can beat SB & Irvine to get the important #2 seed for the BWCT.
Team needs to find ways to get a couple more points a set either with a couple fewer SEs and just some more crisp play.
