There are no cost of attendance scholarships (so called Alston payments) for schools which have opted in to revenue sharing, which LBS has done.

A search firm was contracted for the MBB search and hire.
On another note regarding the 25 fully funded scholarships: have to believe that the reference to 25 is that of fully funded scholies (tuition, room and board, books and COST of ATTENDANCE - 2026.
Looking at a previous email from Bobby, it breaks out tuition, room and board and books and is presented as partial scholarships. Per semester $6,500 ($13,000 per year) for a full scholarship - without a stipend or cost of attendance.
Don't mean to belittle the situation, because scholarship fund raising is all important and needs to be strategically pursued. That said, from memory, Jane had approved $4.3MM additional towards athletics and to Bobby and the admins credit, the recently landed LB credit union arrangement yields about $750K per year? Scholies and facility improvements among other targets.
Just think Bobby's message could have been more clearly conveyed?

Hiring a consulting firm is a huge waste of money, and frankly, silly. The problem is a lack of judgement and experience, and a consulting firm isn't going to change that.
Smitheran doesn't have a plan after more than two years on the job. He announces an Anchor Fund and makes an announcement about scholarships, and there is no vision, no direction, nothing to make anyone believe he knows what he's doing or where he's going. His terrible leadership has given us two horrible new coaches and has driven off our two best coaches in Knipe and Hilt. And it's not going to end, because nothing has changed.

When does it occur to Smitheran that he is awful at picking head coaches and he hires a consulting firm to manage that for him?

When will the suffering end
