You have to keep Rowan off the net, those middle attacks last night by Thorne were unstoppable, so 27 is a lot but you have to go for it vs UGLY

As aggressively as we serve, there's going to be service errors, but at some point, the errors offset the service pressure. That seemed to be a big factor in the two losses to the Ruins. They had a lot of service errors against other teams, too, but had enough talent to win anyways. Not sure if the service errors are caused by lack of practice or skill, or in service strategy. Yes we do not have Moni s electric serving
bit overall the serving pressure might be better. Varga is so much better although last few weeks he s missing more.
Jandev is better than last year serving.
Cyrst brings it Paluso is better
Braun is super solid float
Parent is good
The overall serving peak is actually better.
However the SEs are a concern, how they can just dial the errors down a bit without sacrificing that upside is gonna be a challenge especially in critical BWCT and NCAA matches
Heck the got 27 SEs and UGLY hit 0.477 and came close to 5 sets or winning at Pauley. the team is going a LOT of good things. Have Varga and Larson both super consistent and Braun is having a great year to follow up last year, and haven't seen the best of Pruitt yet.

1st set was a mirror image to the 1st match at the Pyramid, as UGLY could do not wrong and errors galore for Beach
Exciting atmosphere and the Luskin center was hopping
It was exciting though as Kandev and Cryst apparently were targeting fans halfway across the arena with serves, I ve never seen a ball flight before on a serve by Kandev, like reverse knuckle line drive and fortunate no one got hurt in the stands
Back to VB Atlanta a nice persevering 2nd set and came back to win on a Kandev kill
3rd and 4th had chances and both went past 25, just errors in clutch
Varga again best when needed
Pazanti has to give the pins some better balls
Gajek got the start I think itvs good he got to get the experience in a high atmosphere, but he needs to perform and has to get that serve in
Just too many SEs to overcome that UGLY offense with Rowan, cut down 6 or 7 to get a couple more needed points
Hopefully 3rd time will be the charm and get them once more in the NCAAs and ruin Rowan s final game and send the UGLY fans home humiliated like in 2018 and 2022, hey every 4 years seems like a good tradition to maintain!
Karch was in the building, in part maybe eyeing Riwan for 2026 and maybe even Larson down the road
