I can understand pulling Gajek if he was underperforming, but I thought he played well in the 4th set. Thought McRae would leave him in until then end. After what transpired, I hope we don't need to put the "George Gervin watch" on him...He could be one of our mainstays next season.

was rocking !! What an atmosphere and seemed like Beach might steamrole the villains
critical 3rd set tide turned
Receiving. Lost a git of edge even on some pedestrian serves from Thorne and Hersh
Serving put a LOT of pressure on, but then unlike Pepperdine way too many wild swings, and those caught up. Cryst can be great and hits hard and UCLA Gabe time the Moni 4 receiver treatment, but to me he s a guy you need to sub out sometimes
Swtting. Pazanti plays well but the last half of match like tunnel vision , no pics, no middle sets, and no wonder we couldn't score facing triple block after triple block
Coaching. Gajek does not have the mentality to be a serving sub, I cringed when MacCrae put him in late 3rd and sure enough bottom of net not close. Plus enough with the high fives and syrup routine, it ll wear thin, the double switch with Bloom front row I have no clue the purpose of that, Bloom isnt a great blocker
Lots of lessons learned no biggie even if a frustrating loss. Holding UCLA to .250 is pretty dang good
and Rowan, wow. Kid is fantastic some of those sets are incredible and timing. now that s the type of syrup to strive for. Moni was so spectacular that he could overshadow even Rowan
can beat them in 2 weeks, just adjust gonna see how this staff can up the this team, thank God we got Varga
