Interesting news involving Sac State and Utah Valley.

Sac State still pursuing FBS with a vengeance. They are offering $10 million up front to join a FBS conference (football only) and take zero media payout for a certain period. The Pac 12 and Mountain West have turned them down but the Mid-American Conference is considering this. Earlier reports of their $50 million in NIL were either fake or exagerrated but they must have the $10 million to burn to do this. If the MAC doesn't bite on this offer, it might be a long time before Sac State gets into a FBS conference. I believe they will be a FCS independent if they can't get into a FBS conference.

Utah Valley is refusing to pay a $1 million exit fee to the WAC. In return, the WAC has cut them off from the ESPN+ streaming arrangement and threatened them that they'll be ineligible for any conference championships such as a NCAA tournament bid in basketball. They are tied with Cal Baptist in 1st place in the WAC currently, so that would be a big deal. I don't know if they are just trying to negotiate the exit fee down or what.
