The AD has to approach it from that angle and if the school can't figure out how to retain players like Gavin Sykes and Logan King, then really what is the point of participating in D1 anymore?, aside from possibly just waiting out for D1 to implode and destroy itself and be able to compete with some reasonable construct, which not holding by breath for.

I was thinking back in 2022-23 men's basketball when Murray was in his senior year that might be the last year for MBB and others, and like every year it's feels like the last year before 'why bother anymore' permanently.
