despite last night, I'm still cautiously high on this team, well to contend for a BWCT top 6 seed. we've played maybe 2 of the top 3 Big West teams

lots of frosh, and some good ones.

the one 'worrying' thread to me (aside from now an annual December meltdown game, lol) is getting too reliant on one player , i.e. Sykes this year with

Sykes trying to do too much and he's going to have to learn to give up the ball - same thing happened last year with opposing coaches just saying screw it and double teaming Askew everywhere.

Petra gives a nice alternate player to go to. Bender I think can do that, and hopefully Diaz who showed some nice plays

and yes, a total meltdown, Acker has to take responsibility, next time on a FT get sure hands in there.

I though on that first missed FT that Wash fumbled out of bounds, like 'oh no' do not give team a possession, and then sure enought things spiraled. and it wasn't so much the press, as we got mostly past half court, it was guys need to slow down under pressure. credit SJSU they got us in to 'rush/panic' mode.

will this team always panic? we'll see. hopefully take it out vs. Pepperdine and flush it.
