Good for Cal Poly, and indirectly the BWC given that CPSO, LB, UCD and UCSB all split with each other (exception UCD given they played CPSO and UCSB once each during conference season. UCSD is 7-1 with a couple of good wins against Temple and Bradley. They lost most of their top players (and HC) from last season but that hasn't stopped them from continuing to win. Their top player so far, Leo Beath, is a D2 transfer from Lynn University. He's averaging 19 pts per game and about 4 rebs per game. They are definitely spending more money on basketball than the Niners. They've got 5 assistant coaches in addition to a GM. They are also good at finding D2 gems, as last years star (Tait) was also a transfer from Hawaii-Hilo. We have a lot to learn from UCSD if we want to improve...
