UCSD has lost their coach, some key players, and appear to be still rolling along. Granted they have not played a hard schedule, but winning is winning.

Massey ratings, show us a 7 pt dog to UCSB, which seems lol SB also hasn't played a tough schedule.

in general, teams have soft SOS, Cal Poly has played the toughest, #137, beat a top 75 team in Utah, but also has losses to low rated teams.

not that any of that makes Long Beach seem any more capable at this point.

first two games are SB & UCSD, so will start off with the top two teams per Massey.

winning at least takes away some of the gloom, for the moment. Riverside beat USD by 14.

Massey predicts 9 wins. Still have a question about that. I think the remaining two 'weakest' opponents look to be Pepperdine and Fullerton. The standard though should be can this team even get to the level of say 5th place in the Big West.

Just seems that lots of things still need to happen, namely defensive stops. And having ball movement continue - the team did get lots of good looks from the arc yesterday.
