his contribution is huge, passing/receiving is everything in MVB, and Varga was the huge constant in the back court last year and passed at the highest levels. he will not be the highest percentage hitter, as good as he is.
not sure how much an extra season raises his pro stock, although Varga will be a legit POY candidate as hard as it would be to really win that with how balanced Beach should be. it's hard to think it would hurt it, so hope he stays - he's not going to get Nikolov money lol.

Have been following this rumor over on VT for a few months but thought the saga was over because Skyler came back to school and participated in the fall season (I guess not). I can’t fault him for considering this pro offer from the Polish league team. I think his play during this past VNL season opened some eyes, especially as a first year player. No one knows what his offer is but it must be worth considering.
I, for one, will not begrudge him if he takes this offer, even at this point in the season. Yes, our chances for a two-peat are drastically reduced and it’s not the greatest for Knipe since he can’t replace him with another body but still, I’d understand why he would go now. In a few interviews I’ve seen with him on Youtube, he’s always praised the Niner coaches and the school for supporting him, even when he got injured. He’s been a great team player, while also developing into (maybe) the best all around volleyball player at LBSU since DeFalco. It was obvious that we wouldn’t have won the Natty last year without Moni, but maybe not so obvious, is that we wouldn’t have won without Varga either.
Lastly, it wouldn’t surprise me if Knipe is advising him to take the professional offer. This is completely different from when DeFalco had an offer after his sophomore season or Moni leaving after his freshman season. Varga played collegiately for one year in Canada and this would be his 4th year with the Niners. By staying with LBSU another year, he loses one prime year of his professional career. Could he get a better offer next year if he stayed in school one more year? That might be the crux of the matter…

rumored since middle Summer to be toying and negotiating with the idea of playing professional overseas
the team is loaded with attackers.
still, Varga would be a big loss, namely the dude is a fantastic passer, solid hitter, but his calmness confident leadership would be difficult to emulate with a group of alpha dogs.
we've had fiery leaders in this run; TJ, Briggs, Moni.
Varga is an entirely different animal - really hope he comes back. stay in the states hopefully with/while his buddy Zayna Meyer completing her Masters degree. keep that team together lol here. cmon, just stay another 6 months please
still, money talks,
Beach loves Canadians
