Seems like more poor planning. Shutting everything down for 3 school years (minimum) is unacceptable. Staff and students will have to eat from vending machines, food trucks and pop up vendors...it's humiliating. Why couldn't the new food hall portion of the renovation been built first, so that there would have been decent brick and mortor dining options while the rest of the student union was being renovated? And, why is this going to take a minimum (and maybe more) of 3 years? Dorms and football stadiums are being built from the ground up in much less time than that.
