Also, hopefully Barsocchnini will be recovered by the Davis match because her back row play was missed in the Poly match. Laurel has become a very solid DS for the team.
In a conciliatory note, Hawaii has had a subpar season so far and I feel bad for their fans.... NOT

agree about the challenge,
well I guess a better challenge would have been to not convert on match points 4th set, and see how they would fare in the 5th
Davis middles are good and experienced.
their pin is prolific, though not a player to fear.
I like Agi better who passes maybe the best OH passer in the Big West.
hoping Shiffie can get Defensive POW for her solid play plus extra credit for dancing moves and muscle.
plus some very good challenges last night by Reagan, picking up that net call was good stuff - and giving some credit to Knipe, the WVB philosophy you can see is picking up traits of the men's philosophy & culture. Reagan pointed out Molina last night, the defense has been solid.

On reflection I am kinda glad they lost the set and did not sweep them. Since they won, and winning in a hard fought battle, the team probably learned more about the team and themselves in the process. Next week on the road at Davis will be telling. I think Davis played a good preseason and look very good right now. They have a pin and a middle that are very good. Will be fun watching the team battle them on the road and may the best team win.

had to wonder when we lost that huge 3rd set lead on Bullis big service run and could not conver match point if they'd survive
Poly's middle Leluge was unstoppable late 4th set as well
lost another sizeable lead 4th set, and took the 4th match points to win
really scrambled well for points. especially when as you say Poly was stacking the left side
still a lot of room for improvement. it's interesting this team plays the type of VB I think Tyler envisioned.
good to see our MB's confidence getting higher, there's been a huge learning curve and stlll some odd swings out there.
I still think Cal Poly is one of the favorites, you could see more of the team they had been in those last two sets
now a huge road showdown for first next week against Davis, who is in that level of SB & Poly
watching Northridge, they'll be legit they have upper Big West talent - they hammered Hawaii, granted Hawaii is a shell of prior years.
still early, feels good for once to start off conference in this position

Another big win against a conference favorite. 25-20, 25-18, 24-26, 27-25.
LB controlled the first two sets, and looked like they were going to breeze in the third, leading 18-12. But, Cal Poly made a comeback, fought off at least one match point, and took set 3. They had renewed confidence for set 4, and it was battle to the end, but LB got a huge kill from Sydney Hamaker to secure the win at match point. Poly controlled our leftside hitters, but Logan King had a big night. Two huge wins this weekend, and the Beach is 4-0 in conference.
