Pretty sure I heard mid spring that LaTanya was being promoted to track HC. My guess is they'll then try to save money with low cost asst?

De Wilder still listed as Asst Tennis - maybe he's a great candidate. that would be nice.
Hilt-Costello went thru assistant coaching changes every couple of years, I assume because it was low pay and coaches took it to get experience before moving on, lol.

Hilt though still listed as Head Coach, not sure why, she is now retired

so the fact there is not even an interim

roster isn't changed, lol, maybe the solid frosh-sophs won't defect (good luck)

T&F: assuming (never safe to assume now) that Sheffeld will be elevated to Head T&F, she has that Olympic coaching pedigree, would make a lot of sense.

but then nothing official is known.

would think there woudl be some interim announced, I mean recruits contacting coaches that are effectively retired, albeit until their final last day is over, both coaches would rep Long Beach well.

the AD appears to be 'frozen' in his ability to conduct his job of hiring and evaluating coaching talent.

the signs are pretty clear.

maybe he is hiding behind a construct where he has a fixed budget and so he is placing all his marbles with his 'bias' hire for MBB

he is stuck in a prison of his own making

it's just inexcusable what has happened with the radio silence at Long Beach State with Jane's replacement, with the AD/coaching situaiton

it's a total lack of leadership of all 3 - Jane (I guess she is officially gone?), Apel, and Smitherin.

we simply unfortunately have to wait and pray for a competent and visionary President to then clean up the mess all 3 have made, particularly in the last year it's been appalling.

there's no semblance of anyone being a leader or taking responsibility for anything

Both coaches announced their "retirement" back in January. How is the new coach (whenever that is announced) for either program supposed to put a roster together for 25-26 at this late date? I smell a rat...
