it does make one wonder if Smitheran is lost in a paradigm and became overly invested in MBB when he came. the Hilt letter makes one speculate to that effect.
granted MBB is important, just anybody that delves into Long Beach State to any depth would have realized the strength has been broad based success in Olympic Sports, and MBB was somewhat 'gravy' when they did succeed.
