If my math is correct, LB was a negative 7 in service aces/errors in combination with HI service errors/aces.
Probably one of the most vocal HI crowds in years…. Previous Message
exciting match
Beach two achilles showed up. Namely Service errors were about 10 too many again. and some passing lapses, Hawaii serves tough
still 15-13 in the 3rd, ended with two 'so close' plays last two points.
ref gave two yellow cards to McRaven and Moni, talke a bout a super quick trigger, lol
UCSD even losing to NOrthridge will be tough
UCSD's setter who is the biggest trash talker in the NCAAs, and with Beach guys who do not take sh&t coming their way, will get some heated words. that setter is one guy to not get sucked into that stuff,
UCSD is good, so Beach will have to clean up
MOni did not get a single ace both matches, Hawaii put 4 guys back to receive and Moni I think got into his own head. IMO, he should have thrown in a lot more short serves, cause his rhythm was not good all week. other teams may copy Hawaii's receive,
next time, Moni should be better acclimated and a bit more calm, we are better than Hawaii, they rode the crowd
as it stands now, Hawaii will be the #1 seed, and Beach #2 if they both win both matches next week
that would likely mean a semi-final vs. Irvine, so last night was signficant, but not too big a deal
win both next week, and it's 4 straight Big West titles, pretty simple, plus if they win both next week, there's no way Beach will not be the top at -large, even a 5 loss UCLA will not trump a 3 loss Beach but you never know with the NCAA lol
