lol, dude, maybe should read more.
I didn't say never by the way.
and if you think transfering year after year instills perseverence, well do not know what to say. Previous Message
You are so brutal on this forum, dude. Never blame the coaches or school, they're always great. But a player wants to transfer, and he'll never learn to persevere? Boooo. Go away. Previous Message
wish them well. I do have to wonder what they are chasing, besides money.
95% won't play any sort of pro ball
they form relationships, then end it after one year, especially for a frosh. this isn't going to help them in life, even if they go get a $20k paycheck somewhere. $20k at that age is nothing to sneeze about but still in the long term I doubt it does much, and would bet most blow it anyway during college
plus have doubts they'll get $20k
it's like if they stay and other leave, it's like leaving anyway. bunch of roving bandits so to speak
this is not to degrade for any of their asprirations, just there really are no aspirations. a total restart on their education and friendships'
not much to say. I don't buy into this total groupthink about Acker's culture, just because he yells too much, yes it seems as if he overyells. but has anybody heard Newman lol. I just think Acker is not yelling effectively, lol
they played HARD this year, so there was a culture of hard work going on.
grad student, and maye some 4th year, makes sense if one already has a degree or finishing some last classes.
I totally understand having a Beach degree, and then going to a UCLA or USC or xyz to get a degree that may have a value in the future.
Like Meyer for WVB, gets a BS, then a UCLA masters. total sense. developed frienships and grinded
but Wainright? one year, not sure what he built. Martin? starting over.
some of these kids are not learning to persevere. they are develop a really bad habit to move on for the slightest of reason, some real some perceived
for us as alums and fans. it's disinterest. hard to invest in a program Imagine Ware leaving after two years. there's no sense of a program. and that goes for even the blue bloods with turnover.
it's feeding a mindless machine of disconected culture. kinda like some of my mindless posts, lol
thank god for MVB!!! ....this year!! Varga & SIapanis took over the reigns of leadership. that's a program, enjoy it while we can.
next year might as well go watch some HS ball. College ball is becoming boring. I enjoyed watching the team, frustrating as it could be, the real frustrating part is not being able to watch them develop and overcome next year, which as a program they could.
all the records are pretty safe that's for sure, Harris and TJ's scoring and reboundingn Big West numbers will never be broken
anyway, DMX & Nagy have to be sitting around feeling lost, teammates leaving, so even if he doesn't leave it's like he's leaving anyway. the environment is such theh kids probably feel they 'have' to move on anyone so as to not be left out, lol
just sad.
for coaches, exhausting to say the least. it was already tough to recuit now it's hyperrecruiting musical chairs. Previous Message
Yeah, you could feel the bad vibes all around. However, don't forget Martin was recruited by Dan's group. I think timing had something to do with why he ended up at LBSU. When Dan was not renewed, it would have been unlikely that Martin would have received another D1 offer. Martin looked pretty composed for a freshman...I think this might be the biggest loss. People want to bounce. Can't blame them. I'd want to leave too. Previous Message
Bad loss for Acker. Kind of saw that coming when I saw that he posted highlights from his freshman year on Youtube last night. I guess this is the new normal...
