They lost 3 starters to the portal but only the center, Davai Matthews, hasn't been replaced. Freshman, Jones-Brown, is a mature and strong guard, and has recently been elevated to the starting lineup. Loobie, the grad transfer, has been playing well recently at the forward/center spot. It's a shame Davai Matthews left, because she transferred to Providence, but disappeared. She never made it to their 24-25 roster. That is one big weakness for the Niners now...no inside defensive or offensive presence. Big post players have abused the Niners this year. When the Niners try to pack it in, they've been vulnerable to the 3 point shot. The win today at UCSB would improve their chances of a 4 seed.
