after a perfect match vs. UCLA, Bouchkov struggled a bit with some balls, some Moni's timing
Moni with a couple more jaw-dropping aces
although Siapanis was awesome with moving his serves all over the place.
cut down on way too many service errors in the 2nd set.
some exhibitions next too days basically vs Barton, then a huge match on the 5th in Northridge vs. the best Northridge team in years with an athletic Opp and a really good setter, it'll be a sell out up in Northridge, will be almost as good a test as UCLA. Previous Message
GCU is a bit hard to figure. lost their coach, lost a lot of players, still playing respectable VB
main thing for Beach is GCU plays a fast tempo, which is bound to require some adjustment. they have some nice wins, but basically Beach is their first top 10 opponent.
after this weekend, with some more reps vs. Barton, Big West starts @ Northridge, which is a much better team than in the recent past. they pasted Pepperdine 3-0 in Malibu and bring a ton of service pressure (and errors)
Northridge will be 13-2 when Big West play opens, only losing to UCLA & USC 3-1 early on
