Pretty much symbolic of the last 10 years. What a waste of a decade.

If there is one word that best sums up her tenure, Decay is pretty much the most suitable

of course, she's not a building inspector, of course she's not maintenaince, of course so I guess it is not her responsibility.

pretty much though, nothing was done on her watch - that sums it up

Jane took the job at age 67, past any sort of retirement age, lol to start her job, in what has turned out to be one of the best on the job retirement packages EVER given to a civil servant in the State. All for being some apparachnik in the Cal State/UC bureaucracy. literally has to rank up there if one compared

let's add it all up.

Pyramid: known problem. Jane did or contributed ZILCH to resolving over 10 years.

Diversity: Beach was at the top in diversity in 2015. I'm sure some left over pockets were there. But seriously, compared to UCs or Cal States, Diversity was NOT some problem when she arrived. Meaningless platitudes and 'lectures' versus any real parlaying of Diversity to celebrate

Branding: DISASTER & Decay. never followed thru with her Long Beach State 'pledge'. i.e. no leadership. fumbled a mascot change, got involved and then in her manner of brushing people aside, simply took (to her I guess) the 'easy' way out by deciding for everybody simply based on not offending about 63 people.

Alumni: never got engagement, pissed off many. no vision. What are the numbers on Alumni engagement, especially new Alumni over last 10 years? Decay

Fund-raising: Decay. Dishonest discourse. Never publicized the details of some inflated Bull-Sh&t $300+ million that somehow hasn't increased the endowment, lol. legacy is some self indulgent paragraph on the web-site with absolutely no back-up for anyone to trust. Where can she point to some increased base of donors? Bueller?

Academics: Decay. Had President's Scholars program, so she needed to have it atrophy. Still not sure why. There's no clear indication academics have improved. No Leadership.

Leadership: Decay. No leadership. Nothing to celebrate from her. zilch. Alumni & Students alike consider her a zero. her grad ceremony decision pissing off new alumni as they left. Handed over Athletics leadership to a flunky.

so she leaves Beach with one last nice symbolic image of deterioration on her watch.
