LB’s Legacy and Tradition
I. First she must recognize that this is not a High School or Club team. Her job
depends on results. In other words, not making every body happy because their
parents paid for them to play, as in club ball.
II. In this age of Image Money and the Portal, she is not going to get (As a non-
football Mid-Major school) the elite players in the country.
III. Recruiting should be about finding that "Team" Blue Collar, Gamer. That one that
was overlooked, and wants a chance to play and improve, and show their worth,
perhaps despite their size or background.
IV. Work on developing established sound basic fundamentals. Then only introducing
advance skills as their progress advances in sound game management.
V. Teach the players that hard work and being accountable for their actions, reaps
rewards. Show them all respect and expect respect. You are not their parent and they
are not entitled to be handed playing time without earning it.
VI. Finally, this sport will teach them the skills needed to succeed. That through hard
work, dedication, loyalty, and above all gratitude for the chance to take advantage of
an opportunity that life has presented them with. These will last and serve them for a
lifetime. GOOD LUCK
POST NOTE: Build your fan base on participation. Not having to pay for their
involvement and interaction with the team. Fund raising is one thing. Fostering loyalty is
another.
