Never thought the old bird would last this long. I've waited for this day, almost from the day she was appointed. This was a flawed appointment from the beginning. For whatever political motives were behind this, they decided that someone willing to push radical left interests should be in charge of the Niners. When she was hired, there were no reports of who else was considered or a meet/greet with the finalists, just a quick final announcement that JCC was selected. I'm sure that was by design, so we couldn't compare her credentials against the others, who no doubt, would have been better. Previous to JCC, all of our hires were sitting presidents of other respected universities. What position did JCC hold prior to her appointment - Dean of the Graduate School of Education. That's like making the head of Personnel to be CEO of Apple.

I sincerely hope the committee who is responsible for assembling the pool of candidates for the next president has better representation. Not only do we need interests from Athletics at the table, we need people who are committed to finding a person who can raise our academic profile, not just pushing diversity for diversity's sake.
