even if no new setter.
O'Reilly is proving herself as an Opp.
Hayes/COllins setting, or ?
Lomgoria & ? (Sheffie can fill the role, or Yates, or O-Reilly even, that one will be interesting)
OH: Mad Max is only gonna get better. Agi as an all-around. Harris - maybe also as a MB.
OH could be a sizeable incremental improvement next year.
Lib/DS: Velucci needs to continue to improve. the DS/Liberos coming in - need help there. Agi has shown she could be an effective DS as well, albeit I'd expect her on the outside.
The passing I think should be better next year.
Just lots of competition. The team, barring turnover, will have solid arms. Setting though will be interesting to see what happens. Previous Message
I'm not expecting Meyer to return either. Not so sure it's a limitation.
I really do hope Hayes returns, it was a highlight of the season to see her perform in this 6-2, and with Collins/Hayes back, the 6-2 is a viable option. I think Hayes could possibly do ok as a 5-1 setter, just that would be challenging. Hayes has proven her value for this team and for next year's team, and done so in spades.
Not sure if Hayes is a walk-on, and if she's graduating, just depends on her future plans.
for Meyer, not sure what she'll be thinking. She's from the Mid_West, so who knows what programs options might be available, and in her shoes, the grad degree programs are a consideration.
Tuaniga is graduating from USC, so........... maybe she'd want to stay local so LMU/Pepperdine/USC/UCLA/Irvine all might be situations to consider for her for academica/competitive purposes. It's hard to imagine she that she wouldn't be having a discussion with Tyler after end of season.
Hope Jordan returns as well, she's been a spot player. I'd expect that to continue.
Add Agi to next year's team, with Hayes returning, and the team can be better. Setter is a huge key though. If Hayes and Meyer move on, the program needs a setter xfer likely, and there will be some ou there.

The ESPN announcer didn't sound to optimistic about Meyer returning. We didn't get a setter in the fall haul, so our we going pursue a portal transfer or give Collins or even Maxwell a shot? Read Maxwell has H.S. experience at setter. Previous Message
she must like playing vs Bake,
the offense was very good with few errors
really not that enthralled with some of the reactions to receving mistakes/passes. this time of year can't have as many of those let-downs. still need to be sharper/determination on receive, just we shall see come BWCT
Meyer's sets were about the best they've been all year. Hayes early serving was extremely good.
Dominated Bake as they should. Northridge will be no pushover, they swept UCSD on the road, pretty shocking - I don't expect it as easy vs. North.
Beach is in the BWCT, win tomm and the #4 seed.
Which means if they win the BWCT first match, they likely play Hawaii in the semis!!! face those demons again!! Previous Message
win today, and the BWCT is official
win both, and Beach will be the #4 seed, playing either SD or UCSB in first round
assuming Irvine does not make it (a long shot), Beach will either be playing teams is did not lose to (Davis and UCSD) or teams it did not beat (Poly, UCSB, Hawaii) in the BWCT
we'll see if they stick with the 6-2 after Hawaii, assuming that is still the case
Bake and NOrthridge won't be auto wins, they do have to play well
last week for Glenn, Karach, Chacon, Bacon, and Giambi. will have to see after season end about Meyer, hope she stays. and Hayes as well, hope she stays or continues to play - she's a great story this year.
and then the inevitable coaching decision awaits, the Big West will lose some top players via graduation/portal after this year
