If serving LBSU outsides is killing the team then need to find a way to sub out the hitter. I do not think there are enough subs to play a traditional 6-2 and consistently sub out the hitter.
I expect the team will run the 6-2 and hope that the passing improves.
If the current placements hold it looks like LBSU will once again be the 4th seed. That would have the 49ers playing Hawaii in the second round if they advance. Hawaii has consistently exposed LB's back row so hopefully the staff can figure something out that works if the passing goes sideways again. Previous Message
might as well play a 5-1 then, def not Meyer as an attacking front-row player - no way she adds more on teh front row than O-Reilly

Maybe shore up the back row with LBSU playing a modified 6-2 where Meyers plays all the way around and is an attacker up front and only play one libero full time. Then use the other libero as a defensive specialist to sub in for Maxwell. Play a traditional 6-2 with one libero and defensive specialist if total subs are not an issue. Previous Message
with Irvine losing twice, Beach only has to win one match this week to make the BWCT, or if Irvine loses to Hawaii. Hopefully thought the team is more shop going in to the BWCT
Hawaii also dominated UCSD last night
win both and likely get the 4 seed.
possible to get a 3 seed if Davis loses twice
BWCT at Irvine, and Irvine will need a miracle to even make it.
will be interesting to see if Reagan sticks with the 6-2 this week.
last 3 matches teams have served more at our pins.
hopefully get another shot at Hawaii in the BWCT.
