BG's teams got better every week before conference. started with fundamentals and then added little by little each week, so his teams were the among or typically the most disciplined and best tempo in the conference by the start of conference
last year's team become a good serving team, and this team should be able to improve upon that. 8 aces and only 14 SEs was a pretty good start for this
Agree a nice wat to start the season with this exhibition. A top WCC team that swept LB last year after the TX upset. Going five games and winning also helps mentally.
velucci played well as did Maxwell and Lomagoro.
Seeing how/who steps up at the pins will be key. Jaylen is capable of playing the back row. Her lack of size in the front row
Challenges things. Thinking Liv will get her chances based on her stepping up over the five matches last year. Also intrigued with O’Reilly based on input from someone last year who was impressed with her in Fall camp until she redshirted due to injury.
just an exhibition, but given the new and youthful coaching staff, results at least are promising vs. what should be a quality LMU team
getting crushed 1st set, and responding to take 3 of the last 4 sets for a 3-2 win
at least by the number, frosh Madi Maxwell should be something, with taking 40 swings, playing defense, a couple of aces, only giving up 1 ace. pretty good numbers
and Sarah Velucci at libero, the big number was 8 assists which is eye opening, also only giving up one ace
Meyer hitting over 0.500
Glenn now having to play all around, so her hitting #s probably will not be as high
Jordan getting in towards the end. Karach has to figure out how to hit better to spots in matches
Lomgoria and Bacon both solid numbers
should be some conifdence plus some keys to work on for next weekend.
and over a 1000 in the Pyramid for sat afternoon exhibition no less. could n't ask for a much better script
high hopes!
