got to see some great talent. the Opp from Penn State, Kerr - guy needed a lot of help today. Pasteur from Ohio State, Slight from GCU. Henno from Irvine.
I thought Belmont Abbey might be able to give Penn State a game. PSU's pins were so overmatched in the Irvine game.
Ohio State is tall, lol, Grand Canyon will think they are playing the same team on Thurs. It's not like Ohio State served easy ones either, GCU received well
again, that setter, reverses direction with a flip of the hands, Josh Tuaniga type of hands. and they even ran two slides! in transistion no less. some insane sets - blockers probably shouldn't even look at him,
that guy 16 from GCU, Hickman, lol dude points fingers constantly across the net, reason enough to play BOuchkov who is no shrinking violet. GCU definitely has a loose cockiness to them. so ok, whatever. we'll see how much they can smile on Thursday I guess, going to be an intense match.
we've had some great semi-final matches. 2018 vs Ohio State, 2019 ok, and then beat down Pepperdine, 2022, the great comeback vs. UCLA. well ok, last year....need to erase that bad taste from that one.
the one middle, Thorne, took some free swings from even away from the net.
team has to win the serve-receive battle, don't have to be perfect,. I thought we served solid vs. Bel Abbey, just find a way to cut down a couple service errors. McRaven and Knipe didn't miss any of their float serves.
three great servers had about the worse serves I've ever seen. Torwie hit a dud on his first or 2nd. , the first serve of teh match by GCU's Gianni hit the middle of the ref stand, lol. Henno literally almost whiffed on a serve. it happens.
Siapanis is just so much better this year, playing great. Hope we didn't use of Torwie's legs too much, like he was pissed that first block of them, so seemed like he was taking it out on them rest of the match.
the Bel Abbey setter did have a couple nice dumps, and they have a solid block.
Varga had the Canadian contingent there in full force.
I do think we'll see a bit of BOuchkov in one of the next two matches.
saving Godbold's legs, hopefully timing will be there, and carry over from the last couple BWCT matches.

Their middles get off the floor very quickly. And defensively, they really cover the court. Previous Message
