the team is experienced. JOnes & AT have played in two Big West title games, and NIT. in some ways not worried too much about the environment, more so they slow down their minds, and don't rush in a game like this
our core 5 (AJ, AT, LT, Tsohonis, & Jones) are high octane players. one note about Tsohonis is when he keeps his shot selection in check, he can pass and has been a better rebounder this.
they'll have rest after the gauntlet this week.
of course those guys are big-time good, while we've been playing Bake and Davis, they've been playing Colorado, UCLA, & Oregon. different speed.
Jones and AT are high quality defenders.
we know of ATs athleticsm.
biggest concern to me is while LT can be dominant in the Big West, it's not the same vs. a team like Arizona, how Monson adjusts/tweaks to our inside focused game is key, a bit more spread the floor like vs. Irvine. can't have as big a focused pound it inside.
Stroud has length. I keep saying Messiah can be an X-Factor, he does have ability as vs. SB & Davis to go off, if he gets good looks
change up defenses a bit, between zone and man, in a game like that have to be uber focused on guys blocking out
environment we played vs. USC, SDSU, Michigan was some of the best play
just have to go out, pretty sure they won't be intimidated. Arizona has played at altitude this year, this team has not, so hopefully over Tuesday.
realism about the game is real, just the team can play excellent D. they should have their legs back with them by Tuesday, and ready for Thursday. LT was a monster / horse that 2nd half.
