for those of you who got to see American Fiction (recommended), a good story keeps the audience in suspense!
which for a decade Monson has some how cajouled his way to a decade of plot twists and turns, frustrating his readers, and apppropriately leaving the final tortured ending to this drawn out saga awaiting. yes, no simply ending to kill off the main character which could have occured circa 2018 happened, but the publishers inexplicably renewed the series, banking on 'hooked' readers like myself buying whatever drivel story that could be dredged out, lol
so how will it end?
the sordid dispicable drawn out death sprial? from 10-5, could this team actually lose two more straight, including a loss to Davis team with nothing to play for on Saturday with their 2nd seed all sown up? followed by ignoble relegation to say another 7 seed, and then let (fill in the blank) administer the final death blow on Wednesday in Vegas? could this team actually finish 18-15 one and done? it's actually possible, ay yuy yuy
or maybe par for the course, the up and down ending tried and true storyline. Beach beats SB to insure a bye in the BWCT, and then losing to Davis. followed by a first round win retribution win over Fulllerton, then wins a re-match with Davis in the semis, only to fall short once again in the final vs. Irvine (or fill in the blank) cementing Monson's 'Not so Big Game Coach' legacy as a tease. 20 win season, that gets Monson Zombies all excited again about one more year.
or, could it just be the year, the Cinderella Story, the crowning shut up the critics ending for Monson. Beat SB, then beat Davis, go in as a 2 seed, take care of business to wipe out Davis' Les antics from last year by going 3-0 vs. them, including a semifinal win, where Jones blocks Pepper's shot with a second left to preserve a one point victory, and Pepper ending up 1 point shy of Lucious storied record with Les running all over the floor screaming at the refs for a foul. Followed by a final epoch win over Irvine, where Monson decides to actually guard Cockrell & AT follows a miss with a slam dunk over one of those pale white post players from Irvine we hate, to win in dramatic fashion, with Turner fuming and running all over the court yelling a bout a missed foul call. Then to the NCAAs and first round win over Zona, where Tsohonis scores 54 points on taking 38 shots, including a 45 foot ill advised 3.
ahhh to dream and plead for one last sequence to end this back and forth saga on a high note.
but do see American Fiction. best picture of the year, almost as good as following Beach Basketball!
