Tyler had an excellent 2025 recruit class. It seems we won't be seeing many of them. Wonder if the upcoming demise of the mid major conferences played any role in his decision to bail. Sad day.
don't even acknowledge his exit. nothing. he's gone, nada, no mention of it. he doesn't exist to Beach program as of Sunday. His choice. Bye.
Just Announce a Change in Coaching. It's all about Beach. let the former coach be all about the former coach.
T
yler did a great job, increased attendance, improved style of player, solid recruits.
End of story.
This change does NOT reflect negatively on Beach. Beach paid Tyler very well. Not Nebraska or some P5 money, but highest paid compensation in the Big West, and not even close.
This change reflects solely on Tyler. 5th job in 7 years on his resume, and an incomplete Head Coaching achievment. Facts. The fan, alumni, booster based adored him.
He's entitled to be as mavericky in his career as he desires, entitled to pursue his maximum salary. And that's his message, so be it.
Beach has great players. Morgan and Huus are solid, not great experience, and I guess a bright side is this opens up a huge amount of budget lol in salary.
Hopefully the AD and coaches have a clear expectation, direction, regardless of circumstance, of the goals not changing, which is to win the Big West. They have a tremendous opportunity. Can approach it with teh players only one way. Nothing changed, just the goals, and the guy that walked away is NOT the coach they need. He just proved it in spades.
While Tyler was great, while hear, he is not Beach. He had a great contract and chose to chuck it for another 'greater' one, lol
Good health Tyler, and also hope there is no success at USC. None. Doesn't matter to Beach. That's not negative, that's the reality Tyler has created.
Go Beach!
