that stuff catches up.
Monson shortened his bench tonight, not playing Lewis and Hart.
not saying they should be playing, but we need to be playing smarter so they do play a role.
we are simply not efficient with energy
Stroud, Messiah Silva have to contribute off the bench, - it was pretty evident tonight Monson played more to win by playing LT and AT more. LT cannot average 36 minutes a night, I wonder how spry he'll be Saturday at 1:00 pm.
AT is a freak, doesn't concern me as much, but we aren't doing the same number inside vs. NOrth like Full.
lol, we were leaving the middle of the key wide open. IRvine and SB & Northridge will feast on such a big gaping hole.
for those that think Fullerton isn't bad...they are not good. they aren't. it's silly to think otherwise. they played hard to their credit, they were overmATched today.
at least when his 3 wasn't there, he turned up and moved and covered space well on D 2nd half, helped when his Offense left him, but ...don't jack up a stupid 3 just because you've hit 3 solid 3s.
Messiah, sheesh, talk about dribbling nowhere fast, thought I was watching Tone Hunter
Jones made his first 3 3s, ok, started the 1st half comeback, but have to keep emotions in check, that crap taunting opponents, then proceed to jack up some stupid long 3 pt shot and his 3pt shot never recovered.
Tsohonis, thank god hit FTs like he does, at the end, calmed down a bit. hit his first 3 WHEN HE WAS SQUARE FACING THE BASKET and not some moving jack up like his first two. but dude, play normal defense, not that BS stuff he did a lot
we need so much more from Silva and Messiah, Silva at least had that nice drive to cut it to 2 pts. still not enamored - he's not strong, lift more weights
the really bad, for god's sake don't crowd on offense, NOrthridge will be Fullerton, only with some actual height and no pushover on the boards.
great to play on emotion, but a fine line to just dribble/pass into crowds with no recognition
LT FTs, really good the last few games
AT FTs, really bad this game
AT everything else, blocks, stop's inside, motor on rebounds, he took over the game, it was like this freak guy with a motor and everyone else in the gym was a JV player. and he plays such a fine line and vertical on defense, credit the refs with not calling incidental contact on two to three of his inside stops/blocks. the stupid Full announcers don't understand verticality, idiots
I put most of the fault on Jones and Tsohonis needed to recognize offense movement more often, as leaders they have to play within themsevles, don't get caught up in forced shots, the shots will come.
do credit Tsohonis, he did show some smart control passing, but has to learn to recognize overplays and not back down into crowds, wait for the advantage
AJ got stripped, but he did make some nice finishes 2nd half, albeit better practice some FTs with AT
and how about that great FT defense, lol, I don't know how we do it, Fullerton shot bricks from the FT line, worse than us.
what an exhausting win, so much to clean up, confounded by Messiah, the guy can play, but is just hard to get in the flow, and then tries to do too much at times. he's better than what he's shown and we need help with the ball
Fullerton is awful, can't get too excited, at least won. credit Fullerton playing aggresive denial and D to force mistakes though.
Northridge will be a battle - it might be all Turnovers and rebounds from both sides, lol.
