the main thing is our left side pins....miss....too much
SB's hitters could make some lemonaide out of lemons
my observation is that it looks like it is a bit of confidence (seems easily lost for one of our hitters IMO), combined with technique/vision/decision
we had about 7-8 errors in each match from the lefts on simple put-backs where there was no way to get thru a block anyway or just put more on a soft roll to get the ball over the net. one or two a match is ok, but to have 4-5 of those types of attack errors a match of not keeping the ball going can't happen. that translates to 2 or 3 points a match that can make all the difference.
bottom line is they have to be trained to have confidence to hit shots and placement, and then Tyler needs to employ whatever 'head games' needed so they don't lose confidence
Glenn's stats were down in that 0.12 hitting percentage purgatory 3 weeks ago as well, and she has elevated, so it can be done. Previous Message
We won the serve and pass game by a lot against Santa Barbara, but lost the match. That's got to be really concerning, especially with regards to the efficacy of out hitters (and maybe the setting as well.) Previous Message
hopefully the preparation is solely focused on San Diego
critical match, SD won a lot of non-conf matches, and has some Pin ability. almost got upset last year in SD
then just let it fly the next night against Hawaii
would be a good time for a break-out week for Karach
