..for whatever that's worth. LMU losing to Texas, but I think Texas looks a lot better today Previous Message Yes, that’s why I said that it seems that those teams are not that strong this year, and perhaps the strong scheduling will work out better than expected. Omaha was one of the weakest teams scheduled (Creighton is the strongest team after Nebraska in that region). Indiana is in the bottom third of the B1G, and also seems winnable. Previous Message Washington, UCLA, Arizona all lost today, Arizona to UC Davis and lost twice, and Omaha expected to be good also lost. but it's early, one day. Texas will probably have trouble with LMU if they can't pass any better. Previous Message It’s a very ambitious non-conference schedule. I was concerned that it might be too ambitious, but this win is a marquee win that the program hasn’t experienced in a very, very long time. It also looks like some of the other teams on the schedule-Washington, UCLA, Arizona-are not as strong this year. The team record (and RPI) going into conference play might actually be quite good. Previous Message Serving and Passing was spot on tonight to equalize any advantage Texas had at the net jittery to start as well, down 8-3 in first set, and then just grinded, Liask (sic) after a horrid Pepperdine was solid really nice to see the passing of all, but especially how in sync Chacon, HOff, and Giambi were back there - Beach got better middle looks than the Steers every player played well for stretches, Agi coming in cold and under pressure with a BIG TIME down the line shot towards the end gotta love Hayes serve, seems like she jumps about 2 inches but who cares, she's a cool cucumber what a team!! 3579, wow, that's big time all the starters upped it from the Pepperdine exhibition with really solid play to grind back that key 1st set win, a win and mojo that hasn't been there since the 2014 season - great start to the season for the students now the hard work starts, other teams are gonna grind a bit better than Texas. |
