2) Extremely dissapointed from what I know on how this as gone. Huge missed opportunity IMO
3) No confidence in Conoley to guide this process well at all. Not sure she understands what an AD needs to be capable of for Long Beach.
4) WOuld be interesting to know the selection committee members, that would be telling. Like any trade study, if you weight things a certain way, that'll dictate teh result. And knowing what the weaknesses are in teh candidates is so important, to understand if the committee has set up for a fatal flaw. A) A steppingstone candidate would be a fatal flaw, one that would parlay the first good performance into another job or B) would be so incapable of coaching management and marketing/fundraising the other, and what the committee thought were strengths were just 'fluff' past performance that masked their weaknesses.

I guess the school is not going to be transparent and introduce the 3 finalists to boosters and school officials. D1 Tracker reports that 3 finalists will be on campus next week to interview for the position. Some announcement should be made public in August, I suppose.
