all it takes for a new AD to look at 2 weeks after getting the job:
1) attendance is horrific
2) "Dan, what did you do to go out into the community and drum up interest?"...Dan: "uh, was that my job? I don't like to do that sort of stuff"
3) Academic Record. SOLID! ok
4) 1 NCAA appearance in 15 years
5) 1-4 in Big West title games
6) 0-5 in post season games
seriously, how clear does it have to be for people? Yes, we have a very nice core coming back, that's exciting, celebrate and get excited about that.
but sheesh, this guy has had so many apologists and 'the sky is gonna fall if Dan goes' types to string this saga out way beyond reason

attendance is and has been in the TOILET for 5-6 years, ENOUGH said.
we drew 3500 in 2012. it's now 2023, and we didn't even get to 1500 coming off a BIg West title. the guy drove interest into the ground
even if we won the NCAAs or get to the tournament, likely the issue isn't retaining MOnson to keep this group together, it'll be will Beach have enough NIL that has been facilitiated however it needs to be, to hold a tournament team together.
people need to stop extrapolating these imaginary circumstances that would somehow prolong the end of the guy's tenure. again, he drove Beach attendance & interest IN TO THE GROUND. enough said
Monson's next year is his LAST, period.
