I also see Jones, George and Aboubacar as playing lots of minutes. But, I think depth is the strength of this team. In the last couple years we have been trying to play very fast offense (run, run, run) and aggressive pressing defense. To do so effectively, I dont think anyone will play 33 minutes a night if the whole roster is healthy. I am thinking more like 28-30.

that leaves the rest 7-8 guys competing for the other 100 minutes. between competition and staff reinforcing good decision making and playing to roles on the court with playing time, should be interesting. and competition will be good Previous Message

hopefully Monson has got it thru his thick skull to get guys spaced on offense (we saw some of that 'evolution' out of necessity thru injuries in 2021, and last year not getting always bogged down in classic PG dribbling around)

Polynice & Lewis to me are the 2 most intriguing players.

I love the depth!
10 quality players who can give us great minutes without even mentioning Freshmen Hart(RS), Ngoyi (RS) and Lewis. I don't know how good they will be, but Lewis comes in as a 3 star recruit, and his HS numbers indicate he could be a factor too. Prior to hurting his knee, Ngoyi was described to me as the fastest player on the team. Not so sure about Hart, he wasn't ready last year, but his pedigree is amazing, look forward to seeing him on the court.
