I also noticed that UCSB have two P5 centers from the transfer portal with 4/5 star H.S. ratings from Auburn (another Traore) and Kansas. UCI always has 2 or 3 capable big guys stashed on their roster. Expecting Lassina to do what he did this past year without any help is risky...

We currently have 1 ride available. My thought is we need another PG, unless the staff thinks Hart is ready to be the backup. From what I heard from some who went to practice, that isn't likely.
Keep in mind that Polynice was hurt at the end of the year. Anyone you bring in is going to know that they will be playing behind our three bigs, given that, it is unlikely we will find a quality big. We lost Murray and Hunter and need depth at the position. Previous Message
After 5/11/23 (today), players can still transfer but will have to sit out a year like the old days. Haven't seen or heard of any key MBB players who have made a last minute dash to the transfer portal. Assuming that is true, we should have a good team next year. One thing I'd like CDM to do is pick up a transfer backup for L. Traore. You could see at the end of last season that he was wearing down. Stroud and Polynice are tall enough to play center but their game is finesse and outside shooting. Unless you think Yan is an adequate backup for Lassina, they really could use one more player.
