Let’s not underestimate him. He was not a starter but did make their regular rotation. He was evidently outplayed by an older player. But he did play on a regular basis. He was a 4-5 star recruit who had a lot of offers.

Silva was a very high end recruit out of HS. He was ranked in the top 100 players overall, getting to as high as 53. So, I think it is fair to say he is talented. But, at the D1 level, his best game was scoring 12 points and for a Stanford team that struggled at the PG position, he did not earn minutes or a starting position. Therefore, he would appear to have potential, but is unproven. We are of course also replacing two PGs (Murray and Hunter). I think we need another good PG and let them earn the starting spot.
