I am sure there are a number of things hurting us. First, there are many tiers of NIL money, I read an article that outlined 10 players receiving about a Million dollars/year from NIL money. That is the kind of money that if dangled in front of a player are going to make it impossible to recruit them here. But, let's be honest, we were not generally getting that kid anyway. a host of players are probably getting enough money to be comfortable in college if not getting rich. A player that is all conference in the BW and bails to a P5 school can probably expect to make $100k, that makes it tough to hold a player even if they
want to stay.

The real question is what are other "mid major's" lining up and what are we able to do?If Utah state is offering a kid 20k, and we can line them up with $2k, most kids who don't come from comfortable backgrounds are going to take the money and run.

Add in the Coaching uncertainty, and the lack of recent success and it has to be a tough environment. Our next Coach has to be a hustler who can get out there and find people willing to fund NIL.

do wonder if Beach is competing with schools with NIL or some sort of collectives offering something like $500 or $1000 a month guaranteed that swing their decision, and would be interesting to know how much if any NIL is playing in the xfer decisions for guys we have been competing for.

our line-up of the Traores, Jones, AJ, etc. has to be a super attractive draw/consideration for a decent point guard to come and make some noise about their ability.
