hosting would be the same as it currently is...
I would imagine. Just have one host. It is by far the fairest way to go. Plus it might still be cheaper than having multiple host and it assured the tourney can get done in a week instead of two weeks. If they went the two host route the only way that would make any sense is if they had one Midwest host and one West host. Each host has a 6 team bracket and you either take the winners of the semis (ie for a total of 4 teams going to the finals) or the winner of each bracket (ie just 2 teams moving on to the finals). But then the West teams would get screwed as the West bracket would always be harder. Plus most years there will be 7 or 8 West schools so 1-2 would have to be shipped out to the Midwest. But most schools would probably prefer to be shipped out to the Midwest cause it would be an easier path to make it threw. So just keep it at one host. All 7 teams currently play at one site. This year there are games on 4/30, 5/2, 5/4, 5/6. A total of 6 games. You would only need to play games on 4 days (just like it currently is). Plus the NCAA has already proven they are ok with a team playing 4 matches in 7 days (ie that is what Ohio State or King would have to do to win this year). You could just have 4/30 be the opening round, 5/2 be the quarters, 5/4 the semis, and 5/6 the finals. Sure there would be 11 total matches instead of 7 but that isn't a huge deals. When LBSU host next years the games on Sunday/Tuesday (days with four matches) could be at 11am, 2pm, 5pm, and 8pm. It would work out fine.
