Irvine is really good. this guy Sani has an arm (his brother is committed to Beach).

Henno Hilo is the best server possibly EVER in teh NCAAs. he's like a pitcher that has a fastball, wicked curve, slider, and two change-ups. He killed Beach last year with his serve @ Irvine

their pin hitters are talented. Both matches are going to be a real challenge. Then on top of that likely will play them in teh BWCT semis the next week.

win both and Beach wins another Big West title (co-champ with Hawaii).

as well, beating Irvine will further boost the resume, as there still is no guarantee of making the NCAAs at this point. the resume is strong, just that last year UCLA and PSU tanked in their conference tournaments and as hard as that is to fathom happening again, well it happened last year.

Beach is just a different team than UCLA or Hawaii who have great teams; we are good in our own rights, just a team that needs to play in system more than them and grind points to beat those two.
