Tone will learn, just tough for him ti see the floor well, but as he showed he can burn past anyone when needed

We outboarded UCI 50-31, we actually made FTs when it counted. Jones looked like Jones on D for the first time in a while, and he made 2-5 three pointers. Tone Hunter drives me nuts, even though I think his upside is off the charts. Tone repeatedly drives into the paint and turns it over. Tonight, he was brilliant on that last play, driving the length of the court and getting hammered at the rim and making the FTs to tie. Lassina with 20 boards. He is clearly the best LB rebounder since TJ Robinson, and given that he is only a sophomore, he looks like he could be the best rebounder in a generation. Exciting game to watch. Aboubacar is playing more time on the perimeter, he is so often not polished; but, he is so talented and plays with such heart, one of my favorite LB players of all time. Say what you want about Tsohonis' decision making, since Murray went down he has been unstoppable and carrying the scoring load for the team. Previous Message
This will not be the normal LB/UCI matchup. Normally, our guards are far better and their bigs are far better. Last time we played we still had Murray and they still had their 7' German big. Still, due to the wrist injury, Murray wasn't very good, scoring only 7 points on 14 shots. Their big guy had 15 points and 6 boards in 20 minutes, I think he got hurt in the game and has not played since.
I would say their guards are very good and their bigs are not great. Our post players have been dominant and our guards not nearly as good. Turner, obnoxious as he is, is a very good coach and his teams play very consistent defense. To win, we need to stop the three point shots, and dominate the boards, not to mention make our FTs

nobody plays more than 30 minutes, they'll throw 9 guys out there
what Turner will do tonite is SCREAM at the refs every time AT goes up for a rebound, he knows his best chance is to somehow get AT (or LT) on the bench, should be another good 'show' by Turner, AT has a LOT of contact, so be prepared for Turner to go ballistic today everytime there's a contested rebound or shot. woudl love for the students to chant 'Shut Up Turner' over and over. can't stand that jack-&ss
