2) LT continues to be so strong, fumbled a few. The best thing is his 10' jumper looks really good, other games he had jacked up some forced ones, he was square to the bucked for his jumpers. Now, if he can develop that left hand.
3) Tone is so unique, he just sliced up Poly which opens up the offense, and didn't have those dribbling into nowhere moments. Fearless. He never holds the ball, lol. it just keeps the offense flowing. he will be targetted to get posted up, teams will try to take him inside to shoot over him. still, just blazing speed.
4) AT - we really have enjoy this talent while we can. yeah, he trys some thread the needle passes that you scratch your head on, counted by really great entries. I wish he would try a few 3s or 20 foot shots to see how that goes. He could get that off anywhere. He can play pro anywhere from point to the 3, with time, and developing a 3. He makes every single player better on offense of defense, and can stop most any player, plus the motor, plus he causes fouls from guys trying to push him out.
5) Beach clobbered Poly despite not the best shooting night from Jones, and limited minutes
6) Stroud seemed to turn an ankle - yikes when does it end? He was great first half
7) Maddox again had a few positive minutes, made a stellar help play on defense, and probably was on the poor end of a bad foul called on him, he gets position, he actually seems decently quick, not tall or strong, and would be good see if he can hit 3s. still, hard to base on about 4-6 minutes of play and one highlight reel moment, lol. Certainly not shy about what he's trying to do.
8) Poly did go to zone, and it looked like that might get them back in game between not hitting 3s, and some questionable interior pass attempts. CDM going to zone though totally frustrated Poly, and the team covered the 3 well combined with wretched 3 point shooting from Poly.
just a fun game and the team has incredible energy and flow at the moment on both ends with makes the miscues easy to tolerate.
Murray & Tsahnois are great, just the staff and those two need to watch to understand the spacing and movement are the key. to sit a player coming off a record setting night and still dominate an opponent speaks well for the teamwork. It starts with D, collectively playing hungry and that keys it, helped to have Jones back for that. The athleticsm is finally translating to team speed on defense.
David will provide a real test, hopefully Tsahonis and Stroud are good to go, and Jones is 100%.
