but seriously, the WVB holds weekly pressers plus the after game, you are telling me the MBB coach who should be SELLING the product can't do what the WVB coach is doing......the dude has been her 14-15 years and can't come out of his living room, or even send staff to PROMOTE the friggn product
just smh that the Beach alums/fans/boosters have accepted the BS for so long. we got fed the schedule BS to pad CDM's wallet, a mantra that was BS all along.
here's what is gonna happen, he'll speak maybe once before conference, a muttering, stumbling bunch of more rubbish....but it's the job of a MBB to promote the frgnn university - one only can assume it's because it's TOO MUCH TROUBLE OR DIFFICULT for CDM to promote the Beach.
and your statement is along the lines of it's ok to get a few crumbs...., just lmfao Previous Message
Doesn't he do pressers after most games? That's more than a weekly one on some weeks...patience my dear! Previous Message
In Tyler's first year, he held weekly press conferences, that I know of in now 15 or so years, MOnson has had about 3 or 4, if any?
what a comparison, a good culture, despite some tough losses, but at least admitting whatever difficulties WVB faces, vs NON-EXISTENCE communication. at least send an assistant to DESCRIBE what MBB means, what MBB does, SOMETHING, throw a bone. what a contrast
coming in to this year, there was excitment. this is NOT a re-build. Murray, Jones, A. Traore, even Rotegaard who understands the system, just adding contributors.
yes the tough pill to swallow, is each of those four doesn't appear to be a BETTER player!
#1 is A. Traore. he's the leading shooter (by a mile) and FT shooter, yet is like option #5 when on the floor. Excuse me!! F'king isolate him, and take his man, which means the other big has to CLEAR OUT and not congest - look at the F'king film from last year CDM and staff. i mean it's staring squarely in the face of this staff, and they sat at Sac like idiots. I get we have to post L. Traore, I get in certain situations, let Tshonis post, but jeez, man, this guy has exciting talent...use it.
been thru this rodeo before, guess shouldn't have expected a different result, sigh. two weeks ago we had really only the bad MSU loss, came off 2 wins in Bahamas, and two weeks of practice to improve with two road wins awaiting. now, it's like, wtf is going on.
our rebounding is sh$t. guys still were not blocking out. we should be outrebounding teams by 5 or 10, not 1 or 2 boards.
too many 'swivel-head' basketball, meaning guys not playing with legs, but their heads always looking where the ball is, like waiting for someone to pass them the ball or go rebound the ball. not fundamental man defense, or f'king putting bodies on opponents to get that extra board. there is no toughness to this team. our offense is this. Tsaohnis going one on one. Murray going one on one. Hunter going anywere fast and see what happens. We do post L. Traore, he will develop. but no kickouts to open 3s, no ball movement, sh&tty pick n rolls, after running thru 1/2 of an offense set at best.
the good? there is some, Hunter, L. Traore, Polynice have a lot of potential. Stroud is really struggling.
IMO all these new guys shouldn't even be looking for a shot, the message should be for them to pass. We've given Tsahonis too bid a role before he proved he can make glue plays. He's got some skills, strong when he can post vs. a guard, but he needs to told to wait and only take open shots. he can't pass for cr^p. the time to bench some of these guys to send messages seems to have passed.
now, last year, we were just as bad at this time, before the attrition of our bigs forced A. Traore to become a big, and SPREAD the offense and we know why with Slater, Cobb, and Roberts setting example on defense and fundamentals it finally paid off in the a bad Big West. may still happen, except the Big West is better this year.
I'd go man defense rest of non-conferenc, guys need to learn accounability on defense and rebounding, and shuck their ass if they play swivel-head basketball.
Rotegaard has fundamentals, and then yikes, he decided it was time to launch NBA 3s, lol.
a poor shooting 3 point team and poor shooting 3 point defense does NOT translate into fast paced basketball success. Not saying we shouldn't press, but we've done it to the extreme, guys just play rag-tag basketball as a result.
Jones coming back will help.
the team should still improve - just to me the entire culture is not one of constant improvement. it shows in CDM's inability to communicate to the fans/alumni/players any message.
in the past we had banal mantra of the 'tough schedule' refrain which was fullsh%t, I get maybe if he spoke more he would have trouble anyway articulating intelligence. BUT SOMEONE with the program has to. Can we at least have Cave each week hold a presser and give some motivation/plan constructive dialog?
yuk, now two weeks left of practice, non-leage for 15 years has been experimenting. best wins BYU, K-State, Pitt, Seton Hall came early ...December significant wins always hard to point to.
so sick of getting the life sucked out of trying to maintain enthusiasm. this team has some talent, and just sucks CDM can't get execution for whatever reason. never expected to be 4-5, 7-2 lol seemed achievable, 6-3, but 4-5 losing to 3 teams ranked 200???
I need to go throw up
cmon CDM, get pissed, get out there, DO SOMETHING, even if it's admitting you don't have a F'king clue!!
