O'Sullivan and Glenn were DNP's. Noticed one player in civilian clothes but couldn't tell who it was on ESPN+? Would have thought a substitution would have been made for Jalyn as she struggled last night
so would not a solution be to always rotate in your best receivers, and always use your best terminators in teh front row!!!
if only it were so easy.
Tyler needs to wrap his head around the idea of keeping Glenn in the back row, and working in O'Sullivan in the front row. A bit like subbingn out Kash last year.
he has not even attempted that type of rotation one single time this year, even knowing O'Sullivan is a front row pin hitter and watching Glenn do great things in the back row
I have a headache after yesterday's match
The passing is what limited Meyer last night. You can only do so much when the passing is not good. The first set LBSU was passing well and Meyer could routinely set the middle and run a diverse offense. Fullerton really improved their serving from the 2nd set on changed the match. LBSU's serving on the other hand was not putting a lot of pressure on the Titians. Nicole is getting a lot out of her team and Tyler's team is under performing.
I don't look at this team and think, our block really needs to improve. The block is a product of having a sense of rhythm for the other team's offense. Our problem is the rhythm for our offense. Meyers is athletic, but her sense of tempo and rhythm is practically non-existent.
just shocked Tyler didn't pull the plug on switching out an OH2. It's like all year long he's been bound and determined with his OH2s.
in any case, that wasn't the only issue. OUr block has disappeared.
that looked like a BG & Debbie Green coached team....for Fullerton.
we had leads in set two and three, Fullerton kept receiving passing and siding out until they made a run
no sugar-coating. this was depressing. they have to turn it around Saturday, or this may steam role south
you have to squash Big West teams, they'll dig themselves to wins. once we lost leads, it was el foldo.
I don't even want to publish thoughts, not a VB expert - Tyler has to figure this out, and get proven pin hitters in who can hit on the front row, and get the best back-row players in the backrow to not lose the defense....which he's proceeded to lose.
yuk, basically about 3 days left for this group to figure out how to salvage the season. the fun and games are over
Firstly congrats to Fullerton. Nicole and Sabrina are not messing around and we were outplayed in every part of the game. Nobody has stepped up at the OH2 position and that is disturbing. Hopefully Robyn was watching and has Hawaii ready to play or they might be surprised as well. Give Sabrina a few years to recruit and Fullerton will be right there. All I can say is welcome to head coaching Tyler.
