CIT or MIT would not show up on this list as they are not public universities, they are private
it's odd Cal Poly is not listed, or San Jose State
seems a hodge-podge, bit of a fluff piece
it also say LBSU overlooks the Pacific Ocean, lol, so pretty much some canned formulas, they can't even get geography correct.
Unless I missed them, CIT and MIT are not on the list and how are they not nationally ranked public schools? Maybe they show up somewhere else, but this does appear to be an accurate list of the best public schools.
I think that this is positive publicity but only with people that do not look too closely.
lol, Cal State San Bernadino @ 100? & rated better Utah State? rated above Texas Tech?
UC Merced #42
Florida State #19
can't take this stuff from that publication seriously, even if it looks nice, and Mrs. Doubtfire hasn't raised our academic profile one bit, lol
The ranking methodology is exactly the same for both categories (see ranking methodology link in the article). The only difference is what institutions we’re being compared to.
For the first time, LBSU was placed in the national university rather than the less prestigous regional university category and boy did that do us good! We're ranked at #64 of all national public universities beating out our better known CSU sibling in San Diego (SDSU) who came in at #72. Most of the SEC schools are below us, which most of us have known to be football programs with a university on the side. I'll give Ole Janey credit for this. I don't know if she cooked the books to earn this high rating but keep doing what you're doing on the academic side. Below is the link to the USNWR rankings for 2022-23.
