@ 2 beds per dorm unit, that comes to $380,000 for each dorm unit?!!???
are we building 4/5 star dorms?
heck, I could buy 1400 3 bedroom houses to house 6 students for over $1 million per house, just buy the dang houses!
I must be missing something, cause otherwise there's a some of greasing the skids on this one, maybe I'm wrong
given the #s published this sounds like a poor ROI for $1.4 billion, but then probably the management expense is 200-300 million out of this
again people know what a dorm unit looks like, $380k per dorm unit???? dorm units are about 400 to 500 sq ft max, if that
dorms would be great, I'm just smh, I'm too old I guess Previous Message
Very detailed article about a lot of stuff, but the LBSU housing piece is close to the bottom of the page. In short, it appears the CSU is benefitting from the state budget surplus and building student housing without having to issue bonds. It's basically an unexpected windfall and I'm not sure Janey is ready to release any specifics on the project.

any details?
hoping they can get to 5000 on campus someday, & get a critical mass with more 7 day a week type of activity Previous Message
LBSU just received funding to build a new dorm with 400+ beds. Not sure where it will be built, but more dorms generally means more butts watching athletic events on campus. Good news.
