Now, maybe the author had an axe to grind with this particular artist.
The article makes CSULB come off really really bad. For art students considering Long Beach and read this, it would make some pause. Damaging piece regarding oversight of the Museum.
I don't think the subject and the discussion may be that simple as in the article, but basically it says an artist whose works are not well regarded anywhere basically bought their way into a permanent display of their works, and CSULB admin either didn't care or understand the consequences.
But yeah, it might just be partially a 'hit' piece as well.
