the best scenarios are that NJIT wins the EIVA (we beat them)
not sure it matters at this point if Ball State wins, our issue is likely Penn State, at least if they lost, they lost in the semis
still never want to put it in the hands of the committee
UCLA & Penn State losing were bad losses for them, they were hosting, that was the first road win all year for Stanford, we beat Stanford and UCLA finished 1-2 vs them
makes tonight huge, can't point to bad losses by PSU & UCLA, if we can't even beat Irvine tonight
the case will be a lot stronger - still think UCLA is in no matter what, because they host and overall they do well on so many metrics. we were barely ahead of Penn State in RPI, so losing to Irvine (poor RPI) could drop us down below them
