Hunter was actually better @ 75% last year, I expect he'll become an 80% plus FT shooter Previous Message
It's hard for me to compare anyone to Booker without noting his ability to draw fouls, and make fouls shots. I used to sit at games and literally laugh at what he was doing to guys. Previous Message
Hunter compared to Booker (from Juco)
both scorers. main item is Booker's assist to TO was over 2:1, Hunter is 1.2, Booker a 36% 3pt shooter, Huner 26%. still looks like a solid contributor, just gonna depend on coming in with weight training built up for D1. as an example, Slater just was not a player that could get to the hoop when he came in, and by senior year could muscle past Big West defenders going to the hoop. So gives an indication to see if he can make the adjustment, putting on muscle, to make the strength plays at the D1 level. Need that complement for Murray
For Stroud, the impressive stat is 10 rpg over 27 minutes, so potential to be double digit at D1 level. Again, the big if is putting on muscle to be a guy that can explode off the floor and add to that frame that wasn't evident yet in his Juco competition. Plus 50% FG, so high level Big West needs to get to 60% (Mason was over 60%, albeit Mason couldn't hit a FT).
bottom line for these guys is strength/muscle and footwork transition, and hopefully they train before getting here, and the team could be pretty good
