Re: Beachbacker. question. Eddie Scott question
Our post game will be an upgrade just because we should have bodies. Before the season started, out two biggest bigs (Hawkins and Irish) were out, during the season, We lost Hampton. Add in at the end, Mansel was hurt and there were plenty of games when we were extraordinarily small. We will really miss Roberts, he had developed into a very good player, especially on defense and his decision making had gotten really good. While Mansel was very limited on offense, he was quite solid on D. The challenge will be getting these JUCO guys up to D1 speed, especially defensively.
our inside may not be polished next year, but we should be blocking a lot of shots,
the two new bigs will have lots of opps to clean up off the glass when Traore is given more opps to drive to the hoop
Your concern may soon be alleviated.
Anyone know the status on Polynice? Very intriguing prospect who’s on record as saying he’s committed, but doesn’t show up on Verbal Commits. High level JC (same as Booker), with decent #’s relative to minutes he’s getting. Late bloomer who may have been picking up additional offers as season went on.
If those 6 are the only returnees, and presuming Yan will still be non-scholarship, and adding in the Verbal commits Stroud, Ngoyi, Hunter and Hart, we should have 4 rides to give this spring. I assume the transfer portal will be where our Coaches are focusing.
that's too bad, he might have been a 15-20 minute role player, especially with his defense ability
at least with that core, that should be attractive to a couple transfers, who I'd think could get lots of opportunity to play (and score) with that group and the transition capability that Jones/Traore can create with the defense
Apparently not or he would have been at the workout today.
I am paraphrasing greatly but Coach Munson told me that the group that was there today is our basic group.
That group consisted of George, Jones, Murray, Taore, Rotegaard, and Yan.
is Scott coming back?
he's a solid player, showed some upside
